Add a simple virtual Lock button to the POS screen that allows the current user to quickly lock the register without logging out. Once locked, the screen remains inaccessible until an employee enters their unique PIN. When a valid PIN is entered, the POS immediately unlocks and automatically switches the active user to the employee associated with that PIN. This eliminates the need to completely log out and have each employee enter their email and password every time they need to use the register, making employee switching much faster and more convenient while still keeping each employee’s activity tied to their individual account. Held tabs only show tabs for that day in alphabetical order that can be sorted by first or last name. The calendar feature can be used to search tabs by this week, this month, 30 days, 90 days, year to date, all. I would like to be able to add a credit to a customer account and leave that tab on hold. I have some customers who come in and pay $200 in advance on their tab and just leave it open until they use that $. I also have customers who want to come in and put $20 on a friends tab for a favor, etc. I need the option to add a credit on the tab and leave it open. I currently do this in Quickbooks (Desktop version) by adding a credit and then making the qty a negative number and then I can leave the tab open until the money is used up. Currently, when a user logs out of the POS (Menu → Store Settings → Logout), the email and password fields remain pre-populated on the login screen. Anyone with physical access to the terminal, for example, during a break-in after hours, can see the saved credentials and sign in without needing to know them. Requested fix: Clear the email and password fields after logout so the login screen resets to blank rather than staying pre-filled. Also worth noting: merchants should be using unique, individual passwords per staff member rather than one shared login, but that alone doesn't solve this issue, since the same persistence problem applies regardless of whose password it is.
