Add a simple virtual Lock button to the POS screen that allows the current user to quickly lock the register without logging out. Once locked, the screen remains inaccessible until an employee enters their unique PIN.
When a valid PIN is entered, the POS immediately unlocks and automatically switches the active user to the employee associated with that PIN. This eliminates the need to completely log out and have each employee enter their email and password every time they need to use the register, making employee switching much faster and more convenient while still keeping each employee’s activity tied to their individual account.
